Gonna be a while before they find their way through the ice here,but the snow's melting and water is running and ponding up everywhere. There was just a report on the news about ducks starving because of too much ice.

I like to watch the ponds that form in the fields.
1st the ice turns black, then one day it's gone. When ya head out and the field ponds are disappearing the frost is out of the ground.

Here in southern Mn. they say the frogs have to thaw and freeze up three times so in your case, one down two to go.

The frogs croaked here last nite when that 2 inches of snow hit them. LOL

Korn, ain't that the truth, we got a half inch of rain last night that should help us, but its not nearly enough. According to the weather station at Pleasant Hill, With the dry snow and those few ice storms, all we ended up with was .8 of moisture.
