They shut the roads last night, maybe 9:00. Still closed as of now. Wide area of southern MN. Winds still over 20mph. Temp is down to 9, but that will feel warm in a few days.
Schools are so far, 2 hours late. I assume that will change in a couple hours, the winds continue until 2:00pm.
Was tough driving yesterday at 4pm, low visibility with large wet flakes, 25mph winds, and 3-4 of slush on the roads.
Got up to 48 mph winds over night.
We have a coworker of my wife's on the couch, got off work at 11:00pm and roads closed....
The local radio is saying several people have stayed over at Dave's Place, the bar in the town of 500 people. They report there could be worse places to be stranded at over nite.....
