Harvesting and Heading North

Hi guys , I live in Northern Ont. and often heard a rumour about southern farmers taking off crops in early summer and then heading a northern Mich. where it's much cooler . Is it just a rumour L.O.L.

A lot of guys will head north to go on a fishing trip during the summer. But it has little to do with heat or harvest.

I think its just a rumor, for me here in Missouri it takes until Jan. for me to cool off from summer and until July to warm up from winter..

Custom harvesters will start in Texas or Oklahoma and end in North Dakota, Montana, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, some cut winter wheat up into the Dakotas and Montana then head back south for spring wheat.
