John Deere 4650 and 30' 1890 air seeder

I have a 4640, 12.4x42 duals, 2wd, with the pump turned up and loaded down with weights. Will it pull my 1890 ccs 30' air seeder?

Lots of variables - what spacing, what cart, what openers? Friend of mine pulled a 27 ft. cultivator converted to air seeder with his 4640. He had a 1720 cart and I believe 12" spacing, not sure of the openers. He seemed to get along okay but there's no hills around here.

8" spacing, no till, extended wear seed boots,
theres no cart, its a ccs model, no hills. I should
be okay then right?

I googled a picture of this unit - never seen a setup like that here, everything here is a cart pulled behind the drill. I can't really give a valid reply to this one. Here's a link to a discussion about these drills on Combine Forum:

You may have to copy and paste this link as this forum doesn't seem to go directly to it. Sorry I can't be more help.

not sure on the HP on your JD, but i pull a 28ft air seeder and a 160 bus tank (tow behind tank) with 180hp Massey fwa, traction is always a bigger issue than power for me... For this spring i am thinking of building a hitch on the 3pth to pull the cultivator so as to get some extra weight onto the tractor...
