Open Pollen Corn

I know we have trod this sod before, but does anyone here have a line on any open-pollinated seed corn (Reed's Yellow Dent, etc.)? I have seen it advertised, but they are selling it by the ounce, not the pound. Thanks in advance.

Fedco has a few - some under "Fedco seeds" typically up to 10 lbs (which also has small quantities) and some under "organic grower's supply" (5 to 50lbs only, generally better price per pound, only two varieties.)

Do not wait around if you want something - they do run out, and/or limit per-customer quantities as the supply dwindles.

You might try this guy at Boonville, Missouri. His familiy had a small seed business for many, many years.

It was mostly his father and grandfather, but Carl still farms the same place. We bought Reeds yellow dent from them back in the early 80's. They did all their own grading and bagging. Sold it in bushel, white cloth bags.
