I was out plowing snow with the 77 and my hands got cold, so I wrapped my gloves around the exhaust pipe to warm them just like I did in the late 50's with the same tractor spreading cow manure, the only thing missing was the smell. LOL, Chuck

Chuck that 77 looks pretty good for bein an old spreading tractor.....and sometimes the memories are a lot better than when we did the REAL thing!

Dad bought his first 1950 77 in the early 60's for $600, used it until 99 and sold it on his retirement sale for $1100, that's better resale than the jd guys brag about! We used it year around hauling manure, drilling grain, dragging ,spraying, mowing , raking, baling when the cultivator was on the 830, hauling hay, grain and silage, running the elevator and about every other light job on our 40 cow dairy. I plowed with it when I was young with a 3-14 IH plow, usually in 3rd gear. I bought my 52 77 in about 1990, I don't use it as much as I used to. I bought another one last year on a sale for $400, I used it for raking hay, I want to use it for pulling. A 77 is a nice handy powerful tractor. much handier than a comparable age ih,jd or case.

Doug, My dad bought this 77 new in 52 and it along with a 70 did all the work on our 300 acre farm till the mid 60's. the 77 did all the plowing, disking, chopping, bailing, feed grinding, harrowing and spread 100+ bushels of manure twice a day 365 days a year, plus dad did a lot of 2 neighbors heavy field work with it. I must say it has been a truly outstanding tractor. Have a merry Christmas, Chuck
