Their are lots of beans and corn still out here in the greater Kansas City area. I think a lot of these guys are farming over their heads......
 
I can't believe that! Corn does winters pretty well, but beans don't handle the snow too well.

I'd have thought the beans a priority to get out first?
 
question about soybean maturity groups,around here we use group 7's for early planting 5's for late planting,usally requires 3 to 5 months from planting to harvest,how long does it take for the group 1's and a like to mature,reason i'm asking is you here a lot about 70&80 bu.beans in areas where these short maturity varieties are grown,around here average yields run from 20 to high 40's sometimes into the 50's most of the time early to mid season planting yield best just wondering how they get high yields with such a short growing season
