Sugar Beets - - what can I use them for?

Planted a few sugar beets in the garden this year and now that I have them; what can I do with them? Any way to cook them or what?
Was an experiment, just to see what would happen.

I pickle them and they are very good that way. Just wish I could get enough to do a good batch of them

Well there you have it. Just put them in a box and mail them to OLD.

Neighbor was trying to get rid of them about 30 years ago. Dad took them and made wine out of them.

That was the best wine dad ever made.

Beet wine sounds odd but works.

Squeeze the juice out in a cider press, filter, evaporate - end result SUGAR!

Or sell 'em to a deer hunter for deer bait.
