That is determined by which chemicals you are spraying.

Read the label on the chemical and see what it says.

There's really no such thing as 10 or 20 galloon tips. It's just in how you calibrate the sprayer.
 
most nozzles are rated at gallons per minute at a certain pressure.For instance a 8004 nozzle puts out .4 gpm at 40 psi and sprays an 80 degree pattern.
 
just ordered from sprayer specialties in grimes iowa very helpful people. told him I wanted 10 gpa tips, he sold me xr80015vs tips....5 mph,10gpa,25 psi.doubled the amount of ground covered between fill-ups. this will be much quicker.very good people to deal with!!......now I can spray 50 ac between fill-ups...
 
As mentioned you just have to match up speed and pressure with the tips, they aren't really rated by the GPA as such.

Mine are set up to run about 12 GPA, which works well with everything I do except Liberty Link stuff, that does much better with 20 GPA.
