Small grain bins needed on the cheap. How much?

I am going to need 2, 3000-4000 cubic ft bins by next spring. My hay business totally flat lined this year and I really don't want to have to repeat this mistake. However, it leaves little in the budget for graining.

I am capable of designing an all concrete structure but foring will suck and really won't cost much less than prefab steel. I would not mind used but there is a LOT of labor to tear one down. There is a guy selling one for 1500. IIRC, I can get a new one for 5000 or so? Not sure that is really worth it...

Ideas?

Small grain bins can be moved intact. I"ve done a half dozen from 1400 bu to 5500 bu. The 5500 I did split horizontally about half-way up, pulled the lower half inside, and lowered the upper half to the trailer, moving all at once. Scout the route, mount a 2x4 up the front side of the roof, down the backside, for low overhanging wires to slide on. Here you can find 1-2000 bu bins for under a grand. Check craigslist under Farm and Garden.

What is a decent price for new? I am guessing the size I need will be about 18ft diam and hauling any real distance, that will cost me a LOT in fees, flag cars, etc.

Most of the cost of a bin is in the prep digging and concrete
work.

The tin on a simple, flat bottomed grain bin is not so terrible
much, so you need to buy them used for about 10-15 cents a
bushel used.

If this is a cone bottom or has an air floor in it or fans then of
course it would be more used.
