Grain Drill Quest Continues

I'll never find one any closer, about a mile as the crow flies. My house number is 3678; there's an auction coming up at 3680 one mile over. On the road it is less than two miles so if I'm successful I can pull it home with my tractor. One drill is an 11 hole with wood spoke wheels covered with rubber. The other is a 15 hole. I plan to look at them today. Also another consignment sale coming up about 20 miles away. And I check CL at least 3 or 4 times a day. It's just a matter of time.

Hey something just flashed in to my mind. There's one sitting by the road a few miles from me. Spoke wheels,I don't remember if it's steel or wood. Pretty sure they're wooden boxes,I'm guessing about 11 hole. Most likely and Oliver or an earlier relative to one. The guy grew up on the next farm south of me,we hung out together all the time,he hauls scrap iron, sells things like that, that he thinks are too good to scrap so I'm thinking it must be OK.

YOu're in MI, right? Hansen and Young has an online auction (don't think it has ended yet) in Ironwood with a Dearborn drill. Hansenandyoung.com is their site. Of course, if you're in s/e MI, this won't do you much good...
