No till wheat

Contemplating no tilling wheat into a existing stand of hay in nw indiana. It's a sandy field with a rather poor stand of grass hay. Want to spray it off after last cutting this week then wait a while to no till it. Is this plan feasible? Any thoughts? I would work it but part of it is classified highly erodible land and the group that owns it is opposed to working it up. Thanks Zach

I see no reason why it shouldn't work for you. Up here on the Canadian Prairies i've zero tilled oats into sprayed out hay stands with fair success, i've found that i do need to make sure the seeding rate is up at the high end of what is "normal".
