Grew a short row of peanuts for the first time this year. Do these look alright, and when do you know when to harvest them? Also, what is the procedure or method of harvest?

Peanuts take a long time. Long time. They will be the last thing out of your garden. Here in KS I just waited until the first frost gets them. I assume they have bloomed and started settting. If you are getting anxious find one of the bud ends and pull it up to see.

I always pull them, lay them in the garage for a couple of days, and then pull them off of plants.

depends on what kind of weather they have had, most will mature in around 120 to 130 days ,best way to tell is to loosen ground with a fork and pull an average size plant and check them,if they're used to boil green when shelled around 75% of the seed should be full and have white to light pink or tan depending on variety that also depends on preference pick off wash and boil ,for drying at least 60% should be hard with full skin color dig turn vines upside down and let them lay and dry about a week or so depending on weather and varmints if either are a problem no more than you have you can pick them and spread them on a wire rack and allow them to dry they need to be about 8 to 9% moisture to store safely storing in a mesh bag works best.if let mature to long before digging they will shed off,we have also dug and picked off after a frost but they were late planted, also they can't be exposed to frost for at least 3 days of drying after digging or damage can result
