I recently purchased a tye pasture pleaser 80" no till drill. Can i remove the drawbar and use the drill as a 3 point seed drill ?

Thank You,
Tom

From the looks of mine, you can. But why??? You're gonna need one hail of a tractor to pick it up if it has the weights on it to make it work right. Mine has two barrels filled with concrete and I would still like to have some more weight.

I agree, I don't know how you would lift it. Another issue is how are you going to follow ground contour and get depth placement properly. The idea of the floating hitch clevis is so the drill follows ground contour, on a 3-point going over a hump the tractor will raise the drill off the ground.

It would be much more convenient to transport if i could attach as 3 point and drive tractor with drill attached onto the trailer.

If 3 point idea will not work, then best idea i have at this time for transporting is to weld something on back of trailer i am hauling tractor with, that i can pin drill to and tow drill behind trailer since, with wheels, it is to wide for my trailer. Any better ideas ?

I was assuming if i could use it as a 3 point drill that depth could be controIlled with draft control and weight on the drill. I am sure drag type is better for both seed depth control and following contour of land.

The operators manual shows a 3 point no till drill. it looks like the same drill just no wheels and tounge.

Thank you for your help.
