3 point hitch weight

I am not able to locate the amount of weight I can put on the 3 point hitch on my 8N Ford tractor. I have a 25 Ft travel trailer/ want to use the tractor to relocate

According to tractor data.com lift capacity of the three point is 800lbs.

Depending on how you want to move it and which draw bar you use comes into play. On an 8N you can have a swinging draw bar or a 3 point one. I would NEVER use the 3 point one for such a heavy thing because of many factors. #1 you have to lock the 3 point draw bar down so the trailer can not come up and break your back. #2 the stay bars you can buy to keep it form coming up are not heavy enough to handle such a load and can bend and then your back still eats it. As said 800lbs is about it before the front end climbs the front end up in the air

Thanks for the info. My trailer tough weight is only 500 lbs.

Yes but the whole weight of the trailer is pushing you. Your trailer must be close to 5k lbs if your tongue weight is 500. if it's an 8N don't use the 3pt and stay bars use a draw bar under the PTO. that won't allow the trailer tongue to push the lift up onto your seat.
