Rarely plant with no til drill , I use my 400 cyclo with no tillcoultersat half seed rate ,, plant from one end to ther across field following contour of hills , /then I follow the minor contour of hillside andcross my rows ,,the gain is that I end up with a diamond patch work that slows water runoff and traps water rite in the rows..takes twice as long to plant ,, but I get near perfect stands , and I love the diamonds shapes while walking the fields at 1st lite after a hard rain .. been doing this way some 10yrs and highlt recommend you try it on fields prone to erosion ..
