a good 12ga and a box or two of shells will do nicely . according to USDA any thing depradating any crop can be eradacated by any meens check with USDA OFFICE near you good shooting

What state are you in? Some states have special exemption this year to use Avipel seed treatment. It's just a powder that sticks to the seeds. Doesn't kill them, but keeps birds of all kinds (except geese) from eating it. I've used it for two years now to keep sandhill cranes out of the corn. Having 99% or better success with it.

where do you live that you still have pheasents?in my part of iowa lucky to see one a year in a section, then then hawks and eagles are waiting for them.40 years ago youd almost trip over them, but new improved farming has eliminated them.only rabbitts are in town

Forget the sweet corn. Those rooster pheasants are worth 70 dollars apiece on paid guided hunts on your land. You can buy a lot of sweet corn for just one!
