Pushin it a little to get some hay in the barn

Anybody else having any luck putting up hay with all the rain? I am out of hay tomorrow and got a short 3 day window, so cut yesterday afternoon. Sposed to rain Sunday, although they have dropped the percentage to 50%. I cut about 8 acres of mostly timothy and late orchard grass.
Gonna beat it up with the tedder once more today and hope to bale tomorrow afternoon

Grass is finally heading, so about time. Week or two late.

Cloudy and 60 for a high, day after day, only ones I see cut any are the dairy folk going to the silo or bag with it.

No way to get dry hay in this weather.

Alfalfa isn't very far along anyhow.

Almost 2 weeks ago i thought i had a good 4 day window of high 70's and low 80's..layed down 12 acres of fescue and orchard to put in small square...started raining on day 2 and rained for 4 days..i was able to put up a little over 200 before rain started again..have 3 outer rows still in field..raked it today with intent on baling to get it off field late tomo before rain comes sunday.
This time of year always brings headaches.

Gonna be a while. I sure wish I had some new hay to feed in the feedlots. I'm feeding some old stuff that they're picking through SLOWLY. Going through a lot of silage.

I got a little better'n half a 22 acre field of corn in today. Hope to get it done tomorrow, all but two odd shaped wet spots that I can't get through. I hit the low side of the field that I almost finished planting Tuesday with the field cultivator this morning,so hopefully I'll be able to call that field done tomorrow.

Haven't started yet, waiting for drying weather! Checked today, and it's all headed out and about 50% lodged! :(
C'est la vie!

I'm in western NY and had 7 inches of rain in the past 7 days - more expected next week. It will be a while before any hay gets done around here. A few guys putting into silos have started but I haven't seen anything baled. June can be a tough month around here for hay weather and tough for a believable weather forecast.

No luck here in SE Wi. I have water standing in some parts of the fields. Im afraid i would rut everything up if I even tried cutting now.

It is supposed to rain here tonight, but thinking about mowing late this after noon to give it as much drying time as I can before Wed.

Ive managed to get up about 200 rolls in good shape since May 10, 50 rolls in questionable shape (outside stored), and 165 rolls of a wet mess plus around 400 small squares. I'd hoped to lay in this week and get serious about it, alas, no luck, rain today and tomorrow, then again Wednesday.

At least all the alfalfa is off the field, post cutting fertilizer is on. Main rolling tractor is still waiting on a long block from NH. Nothing like puking an engine on day 1 of baling.

Here in S.E. Michigan just have been baling some small, thin grass fields that will dry fast but no alfalfa or thick fields, way too wet or cool. Grass hay is down close to 50% of normal yield because of the Mothers Day freeze. Hay prices are staying as high as last year.

I mowed a couple of strips on Monday to test out the mower and its been sunny everyday since and the hay is still almost as green as when I knocked it down. Doesn't dry much with 40 degree temps at night and heavy dew, then only 60 and maybe 70 during the day with a cool north wind.

Next week is supposed to be dry but they are calling for highs in the 50's and 60's so there is no way anything will dry in that weather.
