Planting vetch?

I have an alfalfa field that has some bare spots was wondering if I should broadcast some vetch in the bare spots or if the alfalfa would kill it off?
The seeding is only 2 years old.

The Vetch will kill out the alfalfa. Vetch will take over a field fast. Been fighting the stuff for years and it is hard to kill off and spreads like crazy

Had never seen vetch until I got rye seed from the local store.Been fighting it ever since. RR soybeans are finally helping to clean up the fields.

Ya my dad years ago planted some and that was a mistake I am paying for now. Found the best way to slowly get rid of it is cut it before it goes to seed. Only animal I have found that likes it is my goats so I try to bale it in square bales to feed the goats
