Gona start getting hay equip hooked up n ready tomorrow. this is in troy ,mo how bout you guys getting ready or all ready baling?

Checked the hay a day or 2 ago and it is not close to being ready to cut. Clover is short and has not started to bloom yet. But the way last year was I have 3 of the 5 or so tractors still in the field. As for how things look so far it will be Mid June before all is right to cut hay. But that could change fast. Calling for rain in the next few days and we are needing it bad

Got a 07 BR740A round baler on Monday. Neighbor stopped by yesterday morning. Couldnt find anyone to bale for him. I rigged up the electronics quick and hit the field. Knocked out 47 rounds with out any problems with the baler. Finally something that works right...

Hay season is still another 5~7 weeks away UP here in the north country. I've gone through the balers and rake and they should be ready to go. Have to bring the haybine down to the shop and go through it in the next couple weeks though.

I had to run to Ames, Ia and next week fri I leave for an 8 day drive to New Mexico. So before I left on fri of this week, I got the moco hooked up, greased, oiled and changed a few sections. If we get some rain in the next two weeks, it should be ready to cut when I get back on June 3rd.

It will do another 2000 without much work. They are great Balers. That said monitor the bearings and races for temps. Most guys around here carry those remote laser temp sensors. Been more than one catch fire 30 minutes after parking them. Always disconnect tractor and drive away from baler when done. NEVER pull into shed hot!

Be another month before we even think about it. There are a few guys mowing for silage now tough. Too early IMO.

About 40 mi. south of old, orchardgrass is ready to go, hit heavy with fertilizer this spring as the clover died out due to the drought, wheat is heading out so it need cut to. Hope to start laying it later this week.

My clover is being a tad on the slow side but have a good bit but I did frost sow a good bit of seed this winter. I put a battery in the 1955 Olive S88 and some gas and the old girl fired right up. It has the NH850 behind it and I checked every thing on it to make sure things worked right.

Yeah, I always keep an eye on the bearings for heat. I also mount an extinguisher on board. This baler is a step up from my 650, which was a step up from the 852 I had. They sure have come a long way in 20 years..

I haven't started yet, but got some heading out! Fella near me was putting up idiot cubes last week! We're in southern NH, right on the MA border.

I haven't looked at the Alfalfa yet but it looks like the orchard grass is already a little past prime. It has matured a lot in the last four days! Have customers already calling for their hay.
