Sure is odd working up ground next to a snow bank.

Got a sand hill behind the house, want to put oats and alfalfa on it only 4 acres. See snow now and then on the edges, but the field is dry enough.

Actually did a round along one side of a real field, just to see, and it works mostly pretty good, other then the side where the snow drifts are/were.

Neighbors can talk now.

Every year is different!

I've worked oat ground with snow in the edge of the woods before, but not with the ground covered anywhere else. Not gonna be a problem this year. The 10 plus inches of rain in the last two weeks have taken care of the snow. Gonna take a few more weeks for the mud to dry up though.

A few years back I had a field of alfalfa all but ready to cut, and a freak snow and freeze came and I mowed hay on easter sunday in the snow...The county agent said the quicker that I cut it the more likely I was to save the field, but that was wrong, it killed it dead.
