Oats/Alfalfa Advice

I plan on putting in a 3 acre patch of oats and seeding it to alfalfa. I know what I need for fertilizer but I am looking for recommendations as to how much oat and alfalfa seed I need. Input would be appreciated.

Are you going to feed it to cows, horses or sell it?
Most buyers of small lots of hay are horse people, ansd they prefer alfalfa mix with OG. or Timothy.

Here in WI, we'd be 12-15 lb on the alfalfa. Good seed at close to $5 a lb means to get by with less. Having a drill that does a good job helps here.

We'd also use around 1.5 bu oats/acre. Too heavy on the cereal can crowd out the alfalfa, especially if it goes down.
