Well right before dark if you had a boat you could have rowed it down my driveway . Got probably 2-3 inches of rain in less then 2 hours so my driveway looked like a river not a drive way

I know an old salt like you can tread water. I know your just angry cause you have to tune up that hay equipment for a real crop this year. Its this cold temperature that I am having trouble with, its tearing my knees and hips up today. As long as we are not getting that freezing rain and ice I am good with it. The weather guesser said tonight that more rain is coming the first part of next week along with another cold spell. We have been on this temperature roller coaster ever since that early frost got my buckwheat. I am kind of worried about IllLarry cause we are sending a bunch of weather his way and he is already thinking the draught is broken in his kneck of the woods.

What do you think about Paul, is he snowed in again? If that snow from the Rapid City and the Black Hills went his way he won't plant corn till June.......

I"m doin just fine, and a little too much rain is always better than mot enough.
It is lookin like a good hay crop this year, too bad the prices will reflect every ones success!

They getting any metel on your barn yet?

See above. Very ugly outside, esp for 2nd week of April. Today the Fedral crop insurance would start covering corn planting. We got knee deep very very very wet snow on the fields....

I'm not complaining, Worthington could use some prayers, they got the 24 hour ice storm.

I'm really really happy about the 4 miles of tile we had put in last year, maybe I'll get in the field in mid to late May. :) We were in a terribly long drought, so I should appreciate the moisture and I do, but my farm is very wet clay, I spend most of my farming hours fighting mud, so looking at this stuff just brings back bad memories of past years.

Heck, it just has to warm up some, I don't see a 50 in the forcast at all, mostly 30s.

Cruel irony is next Tuesday is the outdoor volleyball meeting, and we start playing the following Tuesday. If it doesn't snow????

I could use a boat myself. 3.5 inches this week, not supposed to stop for about another week they say. Water standing EVERYWHERE. Can't keep enough bedding in the barns. The cattle are huddled up in there trying to stay out of the rain and are turning everything to slop as fast as I can try to soak it up.

You know I never have learned to swim LOL As a matter of fact I do not like being in water but yep did 6 years in the navy any how but I stayed out of the water. LOL As for the Hay heck yes I look forward to a good hay crop this year. I could have sold every bale I made last year plus 1000 more with not trouble this winter.
