Looking to buy 4250, 2 wheel drive, 5800 hours, 16 speed quadrange transmission, 2 owner, pumps never been turned up. Is this a good tractor or any concerns?

Seems like they are to good. You can buy a small 7000 tractor for the same price. We have a 4040 and it seems,we can move up to a 6410 cheaper than a 50 series. Vic

There's a reason a newer tractor is cheaper resale than the 50/55 series tractors. The 50/55 series are better tractors and not electronically controlled. I have a 4255 and would never think of trading it for a 7000 series.

I wouldn't trade a good 4040 for 2 6410's. A neighbor traded a 2755 for a 6310 and he traded off a better tractor than he got. Another neighbor got a 6320 and both spend a lot of time in the local John Deere shop.

You guys may be right, but there is a awful lot of 6400 to 6430"s around here and everybody seems to think they are the best loader tractor they have ever had. Vic
