At 75 degrees this afternoon and our weather forecast, I am going to plant some more cereal rye tomorrow. The last that I planted I went down to the moisture, I think I will plant this a half inch deep, surely it will rain or snow soon,,,,I hope!

Got around an 1-3/4 of rain last night sure was nice since we where around 13 inches behind for the year

Your not crazy, rye will grow on concrete in a snowstorm(Almost)lol. One year we had some left in the drill and planted it on New Years day after the snow melted in the spring it was there and growing.

Yep,

Rye is a very forgiving plant. I planted some three weeks ago here in Wisconsin when it was 40 degrees out and I can see some germinating. We got a couple inches of snow earlier this week that is now getting rained off. The rye is still green and actually grew under the snow...
