Hay prices/Drought is over

I'm seeing rounds advertised as low as $25-35 for cattle and 70-80
for "horse hay" around Houston. Local guys have 1000's sitting in
the fields. They won't be able to sell it and it'll rot.

What a difference a year makes.

A father and son in my area who really gouged people last year have not sold much of anything this year, every man is entitled to charge what he wants but these guys stuck it deep and twisted plus were smart alecks about it. I hauled several loads over 200 miles on gooseneck trailers to keep from having to buy any from them.

got a barn to put it in? drought is certainly not over here.weve had .2 inches in the last two and a half months.

Dean, The Drought IS NOT OVER! Here just a scant 190 miles NW of you in the Lampasas Texas area.
(Austin/Brownwood) We were looking really nice up into Sept after the Aug rains But, Now it is a sick mess here again. Just so you will know

Seen 2 in the back of a pickup sell for $170.00 EACH! they were nothing special....2nd cutting orchard grass 4x4 bales.

I live 30 miles south of Ft Worth and local weather guessers stated we were 6"s BEHIND on rainfall for the year.

Last measurable moisture I got was June. Other than a pop-up shower in August that got a couple friends about 12 miles west of me, we've had nothing.
