Has anyone on here ever used one of the hay testers on tobacco to get the moisture? I was wondering if it would work, i don't see that there would be a big difference.

Yes I have and do use a probe type tester on bales of tobacco, some local stations use them also. Be sure to take a reading in several places about five. I wish I could get a good reading before baleing, too late when the baling is done. Lighter bales when moister is questionable is the best method I have found, but I hauled a 645# bale with me last year til I named it Rascoe!
