I know this sounds crazy but have you ever thought of growing a crop of mustard. At a soil conservation meeting in south dakota last winter the presenter stated he had mustard in his grain and decided to grow one season of mustard and stated his field was clean of mustard the next year. I guess the mustard crop will deplete the soils of what ever is promoting the mustard growth. According to purdue.edu your soils could be high in sulfur and probably has 15-20 P, 80-100 K and 100 to 120 lb of N. Seeding rape or canola could also work instead of mustard. The article also said Trifluralin or Ereflan EC will also work for weed control in mustard stands |
