Spray Bar Height/Spacing

I'm wanting to spray my own corn/beans next year, hired it before. I plan to spray at ~15" corn. Beans pre-emerge and ~18". I bought an old pull type 40', and am in the process of getting it all ready. It has 30" spaced with 2 way "drop" nozzles between the rows now for taller corn. I just want to broadcast. If I just went to single fan nozzles at the bar what would be a standard nozzle spacing and a good rule of thumb on nozzle/bar height?
 
20" spacings and 12 inches above the canopy. To achieve this you need a adjustable boom height.

You may get by with a set height if you can spray on time with no weather delays.

I have hydraulic boom height control and seems I adjust it for every field different than the one before.

When the wind blows it is nice to get it down as low as possible and still get good coverage.

Thanks Gary. I'll do 20" spacing. This just has u-bolts holding the bar height, so I'll try setting it for the pre-emerge on beans and then try moving it up once for the corn and beans post-emerge being that the heights are similar. Hopefully I won't have to mess with it too much. I just farm 80 acres part-time, so I will be spraying when the weather is just right. If I have to do a second corn spray I'll hire it being that they'll knock over much less with their width.
 
get a chart to determine gallons per acre, it will have nozzle size, speed, spacing and pressure and will give you a gpa based on these factors, I use 8003 flat fan stainless tips which are pretty common.
