I am scheduled to have my beans combined Mon or Tu. I am really concerned about planting Wheat right after and will it germinate?I live East of Green Bay,Wi. Like everywhere it is bone dry. Any opinions out there? Thanks

The only advice that I can give you is the same that I got, so I will pass it on to you, it won't grow in the bag.

I planted mine last weekend I just hope we get some rain. The wheat I planted a couple weeks ago looks good but it did get some rain. They are talking about some rain the end of the week so dont wait to long after soybeans are off. Jim

Ah, one of the wonderful parts of the gamble of farming. I've got seed, and I've got ground. Now, I can put the seed in the ground, and if we don't get grain, I've wasted the seed and the ground. But if I plant the seed, it might not rain, and I won't get any wheat. Or I can plant it, we'll get rain and I'll have one great crop. But the price may be down and I won't make anything- again. Or the price may be up because everyone else who had seed was afraid to plant it because it was so dry last fall. Or, I could turn it into a mash and make some beer and get drunk. So many tough decisions. Think I'll just go down to the corner and get a six pack and think about it some more......
