thats true, thats why im using a 7ft sycle instead of my 5 ft brushhog. but i dont have a 9 footer. so dry here that native grass never even greened up this year yet. normally i wouldnt mow this stuff, but im experimenting to see if i cut the broom weed and snake weed down,if the drought will help set it back also and if or when we do get some rain the grass may get a jump on it.spraying would be faster ,and cheaper most times, but its so hot that spraying wont do much good now. And broomweed and snake weed is just starting to bloom so waiting for cool enough weather after it blooms and sets seed wouldnt do any good whatsoever.I havent sprayed enough to know if spraying this old native grass when its this stressed would do,but normaly it sets it back pretty good,so i decided mowing would be the way to go.may help ,may not, but it sure LOOKS better, and i may save a little water for the grass. |
