Finally a decent amount of rain, this just has to do a world of good. It started here about 9 am and so far at 2 pm we have 3/4" and still raining steady. At lunch today I must say every one was giddy, myself included. I know at times I get disgusted with the rains that we do get, but this year has been a stern reminder that their is nothing worse than a draught!

Last time I looked we had about 1.75 inches of rain so far. Started raining here some time early this morning and has been raining on and off ever since

We got .60 outta Ike and with the 1.75 we got last weekend the pastures are greening up. Got a chance for some showers next week also, may have a few beans and some fall pasture. I'm debating on how much wheat to sow, dang ground is still so dry.

Grandpa always said "drill in the dust and your bins will bust". Surely it will rain again for you someday... Have the faith. There are no atheists in foxholes (or farming).
