Just having such a good morning, I had to share it. Fired up the balewagon at about 6 this morning, and at a little after 11 had 3300 bales stacked. Averaged about 660 bales an hour. I always figured I could do that, but have never had the right conditions. Think I might take the afternoon off.

Far cry from picking up bales by hand behind a 1946 A JD in 1952. Good lookin' stack you got there.

i would have to have a ladder with a platform half way up,so i could camp out and rest before i got to the top to get a bale!how many bales does your wagon haul?

Nice stack. No brace poles needed to keep the stack from falling over like I saw in WY many years ago, somewhere north of Medicine Bow as I recall, on the way toward Yellowstone Park.

Prolly does 160 bales per load!
Friends of mine in Groton, MA have one of them. One of their better days, they baled and put in the barn 2500 with 3 people, 2 baling with JD 348 balers, and 1 running the balewagon. Unlike WyoDave, we have to have it under cover as soon as its baled!

Laid 3 days from cutting to baling. No raking or anything, just cut and windrowed it, and baled it 3 days later. Gotta love 100 degrees and no humidity for something. It was off of 60 acres.

Good solid bales and stack going uphill makes all the difference in the world. I never get out when unloading. Just line up, back up, unload and go. In fact, I stacked 7 of those loads in a row without getting out of the cab. Things were just working perfectly.

Wish I could find hay like that here in Ohio.
No hay this year may put are horse buiss. out.
Cant find anyone with large or round bales for winter. And I dont have a full loft.

Had to buy first cutting from my guy for the first time this year, but glad to get it. He baled the first, normally round bales but the guy that takes his first didn't last year, so he has all these wrapped round bales sitting at the home place, figured he could sell the first better in small squares and stacked it all inside. Turns out he was right. His second cutting that I normally get was about 1/3 of normal volume. Still don't know the price, just getting it was important. We are in Central Ohio.
