I have about 20 acres of soybeans planted. They are really nice, about 3-4 ft tall. They were planted May 15. They have pods setand are filling, but they are also still blossoming. What is the process for bean development till harvest? I really don t know so I am asking! Very interested, and thank you

As long as the weather is cooperating the beans will continue to blossom and set pods. If it dries out some pods may drop off.

My beans have been setting dormant for 4 weeks. We got a inch of rain Saturday and they are setting more pods and a few new leaves have appeared. This will continue until the beans shut down for the fall.

The shut down has to do with number of light hours versus the night hours.

northern beans are different than southern beans. Our northern beans reacte to shortening day light.

I hear they have the potential blossoms to yild 1000 bu an acre, but most die off. Those that bloom at the right times will take and turn into pods.

Up here beans are made in August, don't really know what you got before then, as they keep growing until the 20th or so.
