Farming is turning into a real full time job, with figuring out when to lock in grain prices for sale, when to lock in fertilizer, fuel, seed, and pesticide costs. All such are going up & down so wildly the past 3 years, and getting an even wilder ride this year, one really has to stay on top of things! Just sold 2000 bu of corn for this October's delivery - new crop - for $7.75 today. Strange time to be locking in a fall price, and by then corn might be $2 higher.... But it could be $2 lower. Glad stuff like that doesn't bother me too much, could be hard to sleep if it did. :) --->Paul [Reply]  [No Email]
