offered 25 acres to hay

Was talking to an old farmer in my area. He has about 25 acres of canary/orchard grass field he wants someone to hay, and take the hay. No cost, just do it and take. i am tempted, but i don't have a place to put hay, and it would be square bales. Keep thinking of others that have been having bad droughts past few years and selling it to them, cheap(cover cost to bale). Only thing in Pa, and costs to ship further out west, southwest probably wouldn't make it worth it.
Anyone interested in it?

Look at hay prices in your area, farm market bulletins, craigslist, local paper etc. if square hay is $4.00 advertise what you have for $2.00 and get an idea of demand before you cut the hay down. Specify the buyer has to pick the hay up out of the field, figure only 1/3 to 1/2 of the people that call will actually show up, less if the weather is real hot, try to time the job so you are baling on a weekend. If it is cheap enough someone will show up to get it.

bale it,news said this morning half the counties in the US are having drought conditions.some one will need it i figure. might not be too far away from you.

if you were just hunting something to do,you could bale it and donate it to your local 4h,or FFA clubs.might be worth more as a tax break.
