Hay prices ?

Any of you pro hay men able to give me peramiters on prices for Good quality round bales, Alf, timothy and red clover mix. Clean, tight, put up right, 1200 to 1400 # ? Located in Iowa. Just qurious. Thanks, All.

Well at this time I can not give you the numbers but I can say unless things change and the mid west starts getting a good bit of rain you could see hay at well over $100 per bale at a 1/2 ton bale

A hay buyer that I've sold to a few times over the years, called me Monday and offered me $180.00/ton for my alfalfa.

I'm going to have less than 50% of what I usually grow during a normal year thanks to the drought.

I'm located in northwest Kansas.

All hay prices paid by dealers at the farm and per ton. Compared to last week, hay sold
mostly steady. All hay and straw reported sold per ton.

Alfalfa : 275.00-325.00 ------------- : 160.00-200.00 ------------- : 140.00-160.00
Mixed Hay : 220.00-325.00 ------------- : 160.00-220.00 ------------- : 100.00-140.00
Timothy : ------------- ------------- : 145.00-200.00 ------------- : 100.00-140.00

Straw: 80.00-160.00.
Mulch: 65.00-75.00.
