No I do not have a college degree but my brother does and he is an educated fool. My dad on the other hand could have had a doctors degree if he had just done one more thing and he was a Lutheran Minister and a college professor so do not begin to tell me about things. I my self turn down being a preacher due to the fact I so so much hypocrites in the church system. I know the book well and have read it cover to cover and know it in Hebrew Greek and Latin but no college degree so as I have said before I leave you alone and please leave me alone |

Since you are quick to jump to conclusions about college graduates and how they have no common sense I will jump to a conclusion also. You are intimidated by college graduates and my guess is, truth be known, the only chapter in the Bible you could translate into Greek, Hebrew and Latin would be the 23rd. chapter of Revelation!

Well the truth be known I turned down more then one scholarship when I got out of high school. Yes I do have a few years of college but no paper to back it up. But again I was not talking to you was I so why do you jump in where you where not being talked to. I could see you answer me or a post if it was directed to you but this one sure is not. Ask for the bible again I took the classes I need to do that and can do it front to back as long as that was what is was written in, in in the first place

Look again, when you make a blanket statement that college graduates have had common sense educated out of them you are in fact directing that statement to me in the fact that I am a college graduate. That slam was out of place and has no merit. There are people without common sense in all walks of society and having a degree has nothing to do with it. My common sense, which I happen to have a great deal of due to life's experiences such as Vietnam and farming, was also enhanced by my degree. My common sense also told me not to get in such a useless debate as this but I couldn't resist. You have a good day Old and if you ever have surgery I hope it is by a certified doctor with a medical degree and not someone that just has common sense. :)

Well again it goes to my back ground and who I have dealt with all my life. My dad being a college professor put me in a place where I dealt with people in college all the time and most I can across in life had little or no common sense and that also fit into the navy life and the officers not having a clue. With out knowing a person if it hard to understand why one thinks as they do and me being where I ran into them all the time I learned to duck and cover if they had much college teaching. Now as for me on paper I have only a few college courses but as for the CLEP test I have taken I could almost had a degree

| | Combing common sense and education goes along way. But if u throw out the commonsense and use ony education alot of time u fall flat. Where I work we say that logic and commonsense is left at the curb by management who are school educated. |

Well I know I may have asked this before but where are you??? I could have gone to more college but found it was boring. When I did I was getting 3.8-4.0 grades but did not enjoy it much other then the good looking women that where there LOL. Took a number of CLEP test when in the navy and some I did poorly on like English but others like mechanics I did very well on. Like one out of 67 question you could get right I did 65 and the other test out of 72 I got 67 right which is not bad for some one who never had any shop class in school

CLEP is college level exam program. Getting pretty common now days but back in the navy they where offered so I took a good many of them. My dad was a minister for the Missouri Synod Lutheran church. As for where we where we seemed to move about every 3-6 years and I have live in many states from way up in MN to down in MS. We ended up here because my dad found land he could buy pretty cheap as in $250 per acre. When I got out of the navy after 6 years I came home which by the way had changed at least 4 times since I had joined. My dad was also a college prof

THanks for the information. WHich college did your dad teach? What was his name? How old would he be now? THe reason I ask is that I attended St. Paul's Lutheran High School in Concordia, MO. back in 63'-67. 'Just wondered if I might possibly have known him.

Well from 63-67 we would have been in Winfield KS and or Leigh NE. When in Winfield KS my dad taught at ST. John's college there. He also taught at Tennessee Westling (sp) in Athens TN and then a few years later taught at Delta State University in Cleveland MS which is where I graduated from High school. My dad died in May of 2007 at he age of 85 or 86. Before I was 5 years old I have live in more town then I was old. I do know some time before that 5 years old we had lived in both St. Louis MO and St. Peters MO but that would have been before you where there since we moved to Winfield KS when I was 4 so that would have been in 1960 or 61 but pretty sure it was 60
