Had to cut my alfalfa Wednesday. It had a bout 50 % blossom, but plants were various height from 12 inches to 29 inches. Just came in from baling it. 400LBS PER ACRE! Look at all the twinw I saved :)
Great big thunderstorm dropped 1.5 inches of rain 19 miles due west of me last evening.

Looks like I'm gonna have to go back to work next week. Went and checked the oats, they're just about ready. Checked the hay where I took first cutting between June 9 and 13. We had an inch and a half of rain June 16 and 18 that brought it back pretty quick,so that's about in need of being cut too. Seeing a few buds on it,so it's a toss up between oats and hay first. I'm thinking oats since the hay could still get a little growth on it.

if I recall correctly, weve had 1/4" since the first of june, and was dry before that. A few folks getting pretty good rain but just in spots.
