Pre plant burn down?

This is the first year that no till is going to be used for corn and beans on our farm. In the past I have done a post plant pre emergent application of harness, atrazine and glyphosate on my corn ground. I noticed today that there is a little green in the field, when should I think about a burn down for an April 7 planting goal, and what should be used? On the beans I am thinking about a 2-4d and glyphosate burn down a couple weeks before planting. Thoughts please

Gramoxone and 2-4D is cheaper early- then follow with roundup over the top later as a cleanup.

Just gramoxone for the beans- 2-4d can have some carryover. Gramoxone spiked with 2-4D will get some of the perennials that overwinter in corn. Then use Bicep or Lumax in 33%, and touch it up with Roundup or a glyphosate product if you have some escape. Roundup is also a great burndown for either, just more costly. Check with your local supplier on the best chemical for your beans for season long control.

Thanks Don, trying to get some idea before talking with the supplier, they don't always offer the most cost effective solution unless a guy has some idea of what he wants.

Hey Eric, are you going to be able to wait that long? We have some fools here thinking about next week. But here in the show me state we have a saying, "Plant early and plant often."

It will be at least the 1st week in April here, this no till thing has me kind of on the edge of my seat, been watching for weed pressure pretty close.
