Roundup Application

Hey guys I have some weeds/grass along the fence line of our property that I need to take care of. My plan was to spray tomorrow morning when the sun is up and get this hammered out during my vacation. However the forecast has 20% chance of rain tomorrow night with rain the rest of the week. Would it be effective if I went through with my plan?

Roundup is safe against rain in a hour or so.

It does have to be warm enough for roundup to
work. The plant has to take in the Roundup.

It will not work if the weeds are not growing.

Roundup only kills actively growing weeds.

Where are located?

The label of the product will tell you. Likely it will say between one and 8 hours between sprating and rain with no problems. Typically one hour - basically the stuff needs to dry on the leaf and it is done....

Glyphosate (the active ingrediant) needs to be sprayed on green plants that are actively growing so the product gets absorbed and moved into the roots/growing points with the sap of the plant.

Here in Minnesota, not a good idea right now. :) If it's over 50 degrees where you are and sunny, probably will work for you.
