what is best way to control Horse Tail

What's the best way to control/get rid of Horse Tail? The darn stuff is taking over a 17 acre hill side that I planted to brome grass last year.

Not sure what horse tail is.But if it is what we call fox tail tou have to spray RU or deep till when it is real dry for a long period.

Horse Tail is often refered to as "Mares Tail", it's a weed that likes poor soil and is very invasive.

Mares tail is getting resistant to Roundup in some areas.

Field Horsetail, or Equisetum Arvense, is tough to kill. Telar does a good job on it. There are other plants named horsetail which I am unfamilair with.
