My older farmer friend called me to help him with a flat tire on his JD tractor and get his JD diesel running. It lost its prime. Then we proceded to cut and bale over 60 round bales. I drove an old Ford deisel with a cab. Hotter than heck...no A/C for me. It was fun though.

What did you do turn the exhaust down so as to dry the hay as you went?? I know up here at the lake the weather guessers only get it right NEVER. Like today I was listening to the weather and they said hot/dry/sunny and it was pouring rain. Never seen a year where they got it closer to wrong then this year. About to say to heck with them and see if I cut hay and they say it will rain for a week that maybe it will be dry like about 2 weeks ago when they said rain every day and we got none not even a drop

We've been drying out, only spotty afternoon showers. But it has been hot. It was 98 yesterday and 99 today. The same farmer asked if I'd come over on Wednesday, supposed to be 99,and bale more hay. That cab without A/C is like a sauna with our humidity. Guess I'll go help him out. I don't know if I can post more pics but here goes.

Nice big fields. I know if I do 5 bales in one day I have done a lot of hay for me that is. I take my time any more doing it oh well at least it gets done. Yep been hot here and very humid so humid your dripping wet before you walk 100 yards

Yep, same here. You can almost see the humidity. Makes the simple things a chore. Got up at 5:00 to work today to try and beat some of the heat. One more pic since I can't seem to do more than one at a time.

I should go out and rake and then bale some hay but so far been to hot to do much of any thing out. Want to bale up some square bales but in this heat not sure if I will. It got rained on yesterday but only got about a 1/4 inch and it wasn't raked so it should still be good

That rain seems to follow I-44 a lot like it's got a channel to run through. Usually the big rains split just before they get here and miss us. Weird how these things happen. And yes it is a beautiful barn. I wish I owned 1/4 of what these people owned. If I had to do it again I'd have bought more land. Oh well...
