What a wonderful feeling

As I cut alfalfa last night I was truly enjoying myself. Finally got the NH 44 mower working like a fine machine it is. Got it so the blade lifts and let me tell you that made cutting alfalfa 100 times better..........not once did I have to get off and unplug or anything........lift, turn and drop right back in. Now after three years of living on this place (removed from farm 20 years) I have gotten my equipment running to the point that it is fun to run and farm............hogs are doing great, sheep are doing great and the only task I detest is putting bales in the barn............other than that life is good...........it is amazing to me how much more fun it is when everything comes together and the machines run great like they were designed to...............what a wonderful feeling.

Try not to let that "warm fuzzy feeling" overcome you. When you farm, you either have something tore up or something is "just on the verge" of being torn up.

boy did you mess up! never ever brag on anything that is running. if anything, cuss it like a sailor. the minute you relax it will tear up on you if you brag on it. glad your having fun.

Thanks for sharing - I know the feeling and look forward to those moments when everything is running sweet as you watch a softly glowing sunset.

I'm learning to enjoy the moments when everything is breaking, too (there seem to be more of 'em, tho).
