I have top dressed for the first time this year some liquid N on my crops and so far am impressed I am in a flood irrigation area and was penciling it out and wondering if there was a way to apply this liquid to bare ground then till it in. I have a sprayer i use that handles the liquid well I would spray the fertilizer onto bare ground then disc it in is this common practice and is the liquid suceptable to washing out more or less than pellets? Also, this would take me more time in the spring but save me money since the fertilizer is cheaper in liquid form and the pellets cost $8 acre to spread I think it is a good thiought but noone around here has tried it also, noone tried topdressing the liquid either, I was the first one. There will be no row crops only wheat and oats, thanks guys and pleasant farming to you all.
