No-till corn

I am going to try no-till corn in bean stubble.
We have been using ESN nitrogen ahead of field cultivator or disk in the conventional tillage. I am told this product will work fine on top of ground? R/R corn what about atrizene/roundup for burn down and residule for giant ragweeds? Or what do you use?

We use roundup as burndown and atrazine with liquid nitrogen and asana at planting. As good as you can get for season-long control. Usually one more application of roundup to lay by and let it go till harvest. No-till really is the only way to go. Would hate to see yields here with the drought the past two years without it. Some side-by-side comparisons with conventional have really shown its merit. Same principle as mulch in flower beds and so much the better the longer you keep it going. We have one field that has been continuous no-till since '79 with no issues. Been careful not to rut it up and its been rotated with beans, corn, and wheat since. We never till unless its a have to case, i.e. a wet fall causes rutting at harvest and even then we'll give the ground a day to dry if we can just to prevent tracking it up enough to have to disc ruts in.

I don't farm very many acres, but I usually no-till corn into bean stubble. I have a White 5100 planter with no-til coulters on it. Had trouble with poor stand in the trash where the chopper spread the cut up beans straw. Got a set of row cleaners and took the coulters off and fixed the problem. Chris
