Purple Hull Pea Prices

I was wondering what purple hull peas are selling for. I planted about 4lbs worth for me and my family, with the intention of selling all the extra.

Cousin sold some to a fruit stand here in East Texas for $27.00 per bushel. Of course they will mark it up some to sell to the public. He could'nt believe what they were giving on peas now days.

If you pick them yourself here in south GA. you can get them all day long for $5.00 a 5 gallon pale. Don't see to many in the road side stands

Thanks everyone for the replys. I had one question; is a bushel 60lbs or just a bushel basket full?

Bushel will probably be between 32-36 pounds unshelled. However many fills a bushel box.
