Don't really know what terms to use with this question --but I would like to know if this has worked for any of you.
I have found many buried water pipes and other metal objects by using "L" shaped rods that are loosely held in hands--straight out. When they cross, it is over the object. Sort of like wishing for water.
I have found that it doesn't work for all people, but I have no dought it works for me---And By the Way--I am not an "albino"

Jiles...there was a fairly long discussion about this topic a week (?) or so ago. I, too, am a "non-believer" in this...BUT it works somewhat for me also!! You are not alone in this.

Rick---I thought I caught just about all post, but missed this one. Do you have any idea how I can find the previous discussion?

if youre using the old version of the board, theres a search box on the upper right corner of the page...type in water witching
i just did it and found a bunch.
if youre on modern view,i dont have a clue where search box is or if it works the same.

Had a guy married to a 3rd cousin who used a pliers. He was
looking for water at my uncles place and found a spot where he
said was water. We didn't believe he could do it but my mom held
the pliers like he told her to. It did nothing until he held her arm
and the darn thing turned. They found a good well in that spot.

I built a set and used the cvpc sleeves to offset any friction from my hands. I was even able to find settled water in a hose. Most of it was empty. Also found a dog's grave for my brother. Works for him also, but the rods turn outward instead of crossing. Funny but when they crossed for me and he said there wasn't any water or electric lines there, I looked up and there were overhead powerlines just above us.

When I was working in a large industrial plant, this subject was brought up. During lunch break, about seven of us "non-believers" went outside the plant and placed a 20'x20' canvis tarp on the bare ground. We told one of the "believers" that a 1" flat washer was under the tarp. Four of them tried but didn't find the washer. We had a big laugh until one of them removed the tarp and discovered there was NO WASHER
We tried it again and three of them found the washer that was pressed flat in the ground under the tarp.
That's what made me a "somewhat" believer.

You will get the same result with one 'L' shaped rod.

Try this.. fill a large bottle with water.
put it on the ground then walk over it with your rod, for me no reaction.

step 2 feet to the side and walk in the same direction as before.

Eureka, a strike.
Don't ask why.
