WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TV SHOW OF ALL-TIME?

As the title of this thread asks,..."what is your favorite TV show of all-time?" Today,..network tv pretty much stinks.

My all time favorite is,...The Waltons.

Really!

Andy Griffith Show, Sanford and Son, All in the Family, Daniel Boone, the Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. I've got too many favorites to pick just one.

Never really had any one favorite in particular but my favorites growing up would have to be Hogan's Heros, The A-Team, McGyver, and MASH. Too there was the origional Knight Rider, and also Airwolf. Sure, looking back they were all pretty cheesy but for the 80's they pretty good too.
Nowdays I tend to like Modern Marvels, Dirty Jobs, How That's Made (or whatver the latest version is named), and World's Toughest Fixes. I also like the origional Survivor Man with Les Stround. I like the educational stuff and as far as I'm concernd you can have all the 'Reality" shows, that are anything but real... they don't do a thing for me.......

Hard to say if it was my favorite, but I really liked "The Addams Family". Also liked "Get Smart". For a variety show, I think it's a tossup between "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-in" and "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour".

Battlestar Galactica, the new one that just finished its 5 year run. Dark, gritty, critical, and hitting entirely too close to home.

Star Trek, didn't think I'd see anyone else say that but I see it below.

Married with Children & Northern Exposure are honorable mentions.

Now, isn't that a diverse 3-some?

i enjoy most of the pre-75's shows. because i get to see the old cars, trucks, etc, and some time a tractor, like green-acres. also enjoy some sci-fy programs. beem me up Scotti this planet su@#$. twilight-zone, etc. i always dreamed of Jennie. lol

Maverick.

Also good were Rawhide, the Rifleman, the Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, Mission: Impossible, the Addams Family, Red Green, and Carol Burnett.

Corner Gas, and Dead Like Me are two recent shows from Canada that really outshine our current USA television.

Highway to heaven, Gun smoke, Little house on the prairie,Are you being served? Mash. The great American hero.I spy. Good t.v.then Regards ,LOU.

Modern stuff is the CSI's and NCIS for series' but it was always grizzly adams, little house on the prairie, mash, any western that would come on, and vanna white (I mean wheel of fortune  )
Can't really pick a favorite.

Dave

NCIS, Deadliest Catch, Modern Marvels. The history channel's Civil war series is pretty good.

The "Gong Show". However Chuck was gone for a little while sometimes. He was working for the CIA in South America somewhere. Took out some pretty nasty people there according to the book.

Some of the DIY shows. Sometimes morning network news. Shows about the old music and comedy greats. Come to think about it, why watch TV when there's YT Mag? Jim

Had many favorite TV shows over the years but eventually they all mostly went away. Now the current one is NCIS but they have very few "NEW" episodes and the curent programming is mostly reruns so I predict it to will soon disapear. I liked WKRP in Cincinati a lot but Lonnie and the rest got old and Herb just died so I guess it is history too. I heard Les is trying to get a job with Howard Stearn,we"ll see how that goes. I watch too much TV any ways.

The Andy Griffith Show .......but only with Deputy Barney on duty! Paul

Tough question, but it would not be filled with canned laughter. Northern Exposure would have to be in the top ten.

Has to be Green Acres. One sane person (Oliver Douglas) and the all the rest are pychopaths, idiots, scatterbrains, or chuckleheads.

Mutual Of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. Never missed an episode. Even homework stopped in order to watch it. I really miss it. Once in a great while I will catch a rerun on..........TBS. (I think?)

I find it hard to believe no one said The Beverly Hillbillies.

Jed's wisdom is beyond comparison

Yeah, M*A*S*H and The Andy Griffith Show are excellent as well.

Ya the Rifleman, Chuck Conners, Lucas McKain is great, with that fast firing Rifle. Its on here at 10:00 everyweekday on RTV. I try to watch it everyday.

So much of the older programming was superior to whats on today (just my opinion), there isn't just one favorite!
For starters: Andy Griffith, Leave It To Beaver, I Love Lucy for the older shows.
More recently Rosanne and Reba.
From "across the pond", All Creatures Great and Small and Are You Being Served.
Also Gunsmoke, Bonaza, Waltons, Little House on the Prairie and Mutual Omaha's Wild Kindgom were always favorites at home growing up!

Being from a younger generation I'm not going to say that I hate all modern TV.I also really enjoy Little House on the Prairie, The Waltons, but also enjoy Home Improvement, I never minded 24, or the NCIS LA or whatever's on now. There's really no good "series" now except for a select few cop shows. I don't rally have a favourite of all time ower all though.

sure along with all westerns ,, gotta agree with all shows listed,, ditto red skelton , waltons honorable mention

Ever since we got broadband here a couple of years
ago, my kids have been picking my brain for old tv
shows to look up on youtube. They really seem to
prefer stuff like andy griffith, hogans heroes and
most recently gomer pyle usmc. There are quite a
few others they like, for example i love lucy. I
would say my favorite show growing up must have
been little house on the prairie, though I have
memories of adam 12 and emergency 51.

Thanks to some of you for reminding me of wild
kingdom. I had forgotten about that show. I did a
quick search on youtube and saw that there is a
wildkingdom channel with lots of full episodes. I
guess I'll have to check some of those out
sometime.

Christopher

Not really my favorites, but I did enjoy them:

My Three Sons
All Bob Hope specials, ....specifically the Christmas/holiday ones.
MLB Game of the Week (Curt Gowdy and Joe Gargiola)
Tonight Show with Johnny Carson
Monday Night Football when Howard Cossell was on.
ABC's Wide World of Sports
Real cartoons on Saturday morning (not the PC trash like today!)
