help broken piston ring

While installing pistons one ring got broke. I need to find a replacement for it any sources?? Surley this has happend beore.

Where did you buy your rings? Some parts places carry "open stock" on some more popular rings...usually older places that have their own machine shops, and who may have even broken a ring or two on their own.

A good parts man could probably get you one from someplace.You would probably need to take him a good ring so he could measure it up real good.
I have done that and a parts man was always able to get one somewhere.

What size is it? Diameter and thickness. Chrome, moly, plasma? Top ring or second ring?
